Who is Jesus?
Quite simply, Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of the world! He isn’t just a religious leader, great teacher, or enactor of justice. Jesus is God and came in the flesh to rescue us all from hopelessness and separation from God because of our sin.
Jesus is:
God (John 1:1-3; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:3)
God’s Son (John 3:16-17; Matthew 16:15-16)
God in the flesh (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-14)
Savior of the world (Matthew 16:15-16; Acts 26:22-23)
The only way to God and forgiveness of sin (John 14:6)
The King of kings and Lord of lords (Philippians 2:10; Revelation 19:16)
Why do we need Jesus?
Though it can be hard to admit, we need Jesus because we are fallen, broken, and lost as a result of our sin (Romans 3:23). Jesus is the only One who can provide eternal life, forgiveness of sin, and the free gift of grace (John 3:16, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6)!
Does Jesus care about me?
YES! He loves you! We may feel far from God and unworthy of His love because of our past or our failures, but Jesus died so we could have a restored relationship with Him. We can never do enough self-help or good works on our own to earn the forgiveness that Jesus provides. But when we turn from our old ways, believe Jesus is the Christ, accept His free gift, and choose to follow Him, we acknowledge that He alone is the way. A much better way!
Give Him your life by putting your trust in Him today!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
